KLAMATH BASIN BREWING COMPANY
KLAMATH FALLS, OR. 97601

Klamath Basin Brewing Company was founded in January 2001 by two old friends Lonnie Clement and Del Azevedo. The dream was to brew fine handcrafted ales. After renovating Lonnie Clements' garage into a licensed and permitted commercial brewery, these two characters started brewing commercial ales in a brewing system they built themselves. It took a little ingenuity and tenacity but the brewing company began to produce saleable ales.

With still more dreams of growth the two purchased an old creamery in downtown Klamath Falls. After 2 1/2 years of hard work by these two, and much help from friends, the property was ready for the renovation to begin. Finally ,in February 2005 The Creamery Brewpub and Grill first opened the doors to the public.

Klamath Basin Brewing Company is an exciting new brewery from Klamath Falls Oregon and is located on Main Street in the heart of the historic downtown. We have built our brewery/brewpub in the renovated historical Klamath Falls Creamery building that was built in 1935 to house the once famous Crater Lake Creamery. IN February of 2005 we finished our beautiful renovation project and opened what is now becoming a destination brewpub known as "The Creamery Brewpub and Grill". The brewery/brewpub is the only known brewing operation that uses geo-thermally heated water for the brewing process of making beer. What makes Klamath Basin Brewing Company unique is the water we use comes from the natural feed underground rivers that flow from the Cascade Mountain Range and the famous Crater Lake . This crystal clear mountain water is then heated by world renowned natural geo-thermal hot springs. The naturally earth heated hot water is added to the malted barley to extract the natural sugars from the grain. This barley is some of the finest malting barley in the world, that is grown right here in the Klamath Basin. Once the sugar is extracted we add the finest hops in the world that are grown in the Pacific Northwest to what is now known as "wort". The wort is boiled with the hops to extract the natural oils from the hop cone. The hop oil is what causes the bittering to the beer, without the bittering the beer would only be sweet. After we cool the wort we add the yeast; the yeast is what consumes the natural sugar into alcohol converting the wort to beer. We use many yeast strains to get all different flavors of the fine beers we make at Klamath Basin. Our yeast of choice is Wyeast from Hood River Oregon. Please come relax and drink the many fine hand-crafted beers that we have to offer from Klamath Basin Brewing Company. We believe we have a very unique style of beer to offer you to enjoy! It would be our extreme pleasure to welcome you and your family to "The Creamery Brewpub & Grill" for a tour and tasting. Our beautiful new brewpub has many exciting new food dishes to offer you as well.

Thank You for Choosing Klamath Basin Brewing Company!!
