The Bend Brewfest took place from August 16th thru 18th, 2012 at the Les Schwab Amphitheater in Bend. Each year, a brewery from Bend, and a brewery from outside of Bend, share the “Peoples Choice” Award, voted on by the participants at the Brewfest. This year, Klamath Basin Brewing Company came home with the People’s Choice award for our Vanilla Porter. Approximately 50 breweries from around the Pacific Northwest gather together for a three day event packed full of live music, good food and great beer to raise money for two local charities, BIG SISTER/BIG BROTHER OF CENTRAL OREGON and NEIGHBOR IMPACT.
Seventeen different styles of beer and more than your share of flavors for each style make the Bend Brewfest a sure “Bucket List” item for any beer novice or enthusiast. Not only is the beer sampling out of this world but there are lots of other attractions to make your day, such as live music, a plethora of local cuisine and local vendors selling merchandise.
